A degree 1 non-negative graded super manifold equipped with a degree 1 vector field Q satisfying [Q,Q]=1, namely a so-called NQ-1 manifold is, in plain differential geometry language, a Lie algebroid. We introduce a notion of fibration for such super manifolds, that essentially involves a complete Ehresmann connection. As it is the case for Lie algebras, such fibrations turn out not to be just locally trivial products. We also define homotopy groups and prove the expected long exact sequence associated to a fibration. In particular, Crainic and Fernandes's obstruction to the integrability of Lie algebroids is interpreted as the image of a transgression map in this long exact sequence.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study a class of semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with degenerate boundary conditions which include as particular cases the Dirichlet problem and the Robin problem. The approach here is based on the super‐sub‐solution method in the degenerate case, and is distinguished by the extensive use of an Lp Schauder theory elaborated for second‐order, elliptic differential operators with discontinuous zero‐th order term. By using Schauder's fixed point theorem, we prove that the existence of an ordered pair of sub‐ and supersolutions of our problem implies the existence of a solution of the problem. In this paper we discuss Weyl matrix balls in the context of the matricial versions of the classical interpolation problems named after Carathéodory and Schur. Our particular focus will be on studying the monotonicity of suitably normalized semi-radii of the corresponding Weyl matrix balls. We, furthermore, devote a fair bit of attention to characterizing the case in which equality holds for particular matricial inequalities. Solving these problems will provide us with a new perspective on the role of the central functions for the classes of Carathéodory and Schur.  相似文献

We define a family of weighted geometric means {G(t;ω;A)}t∈[0,1]n where ω and A vary over all positive probability vectors in Rn and n-tuples of positive definite matrices resp. Each of these weighted geometric means interpolates between the weighted ALM (t=0n) and BMP (t=1n) geometric means (ALM and BMP geometric means have been defined by Ando-Li-Mathias and Bini-Meini-Poloni, respectively.) We show that the weighted geometric means satisfy multidimensional versions of all properties that one would expect for a two-variable weighted geometric mean.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth complex projective variety of dimension 3 and let L be an ample line bundle on X. In this paper, we provide a lower bound for h0(m(KX+L)) under the assumption that κ(KX+L)≥0. In particular, we get the following: (1) if 0≤κ(KX+L)≤2, then h0(KX+L)>0 holds. (2) If κ(KX+L)=3, then h0(2(KX+L))≥3 holds. In this paper, we investigate positive solutions of the degenerate parabolic equation not in divergence form: ut=upΔu+auqbur, subject to the null Dirichlet boundary condition. We at first discuss the existence and nonexistence of global solutions to the problem, and then study the large time behavior for the global solutions. When the positive source dominates the model, we prove that the global solutions uniformly tend to the positive steady state of the problem as t→∞. In particular, we establish the uniform asymptotic profiles for the decay solutions when the problem is governed by the nonlinear diffusion or absorption.  相似文献

Promotion is an essential stage of any product life cycle. All firms either concerned with single or multiple products promote their products. Advertising is the most dominated form of promotion for most of the products. Our research focuses on firms which produces a multiple range of products and advertise them using available media options. The budget constraint forms the major restriction. The existing research in media allocation of multiple products ignores the market segmentation and formulates the media plan assuming all segments alike. In this paper we formulate a media planning problem for allocating the available budget in multiple media that are found suitable for the advertising of multiple products considering marketing segmentation aspect of advertising. The objective is to maximize the total reach in all the segments. Goal programming technique is used to solve the problem. We introduce obstructions to the existence of a calibrated G2-structure on a Lie algebra g of dimension seven, not necessarily nilpotent. In particular, we prove that if there is a Lie algebra epimorphism from g to a six-dimensional Lie algebra h with kernel contained in the center of g, then h has a symplectic form. As a consequence, we obtain a classification of the nilpotent Lie algebras that admit a calibrated G2-structure.  相似文献

We show that there exists a family of Riemannian metrics on the tangent bundle of a two-sphere, which induces metrics of constant curvature on its unit tangent bundle. In other words, given such a metric on the tangent bundle of a two-sphere, the Hopf map is identified with a Riemannian submersion from the universal covering space of the unit tangent bundle, equipped with the induced metric, onto the two-sphere. A hyperbolic counterpart dealing with the tangent bundle of a hyperbolic plane is also presented.  相似文献
